Committee of Ministers: Vice-President

Dear delegates,

It is my outmost pleasure to welcome you, along with Krystallenia and Hercules, to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe! My name is Anna Pekridou, I am 22 years old and I am currently studying Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. By the time we are going to meet each other in April, I hope I will have graduated too! My afterward plans, as far as my laws studies are concerned, include the speculative scenario of sitting the exams for a master in administrative law.

My very first MUN experience was three years ago in Thessismun of 2015, when I was assigned to represent the delegation of Afghanistan in the Second Committee of the General Assembly. That was it! Since then I have taken part in simulations of the United
Nations both in Greece and abroad, in moot courts, in legal and other debate competitions and in the organizing committee for the publication of a law journal. I have also completed a one year internship at the Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Macedonia and, due to the fact that I am very interested in the translation field, i have been taking translation courses since the first year of my studies. Lastly, I am going to serve as the President of the General Conference at the Simulation of Unesco in Corfu (the Simunesco Conference) in 2018!

It is needless to say that every peak to be reached has its tasks to be fulfilled, so don’t ever be afraid to start walking because this is the only way to reach the top! Be ready because April is approaching!
