Christos Kaltsas was born and raised in Piraeus, Greece. He is currently a postgraduate student in the Department of Public Policy and Public Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Peloponnese. Other interests of his include the study of foreign languages, the development of skills associated with Digital Governance as well as participating in various conferences and seminars around the world. Last but not least, he has a passionate addiction with any kind of sport. He can literally watch any activity resembling an athletic competition, including of course his favorites sports, basketball and tennis.

His first MUN experience dates back to 2018 and since then he has not hesitated to participate in many conferences and simulations both in Greece and abroad. The first time he participated in a ThessISMUN was at its 2018 edition. Ever since, he has taken part in every edition of the conference and will gladly do so again in 2023. In this year’s edition, he will have the honor of serving as the President of the International Maritime Organization, a committee that will require the absolute best from its participants. Finally, he wants to encourage every student, regardless of their academic field, to participate in ThessISMUN 2023 as it is the ideal place to meet exciting new people with different viewpoints and also relish the chance to improve their public speaking and diplomacy skills that may prove crucial in their future careers.
