Georgios Kotlidas
Deputy Head of Crisis Team
Georgios Kotlidas is 27 years old, born and raised in Grevena, Western Macedonia until adulthood. He is a freelance Attorney-at-Law focused on commercial, criminal and banking law, and currently also serves as Special Advisor to the Regional Vice-Governor of Grevena, Western Macedonia.
He finished his Bachelor’s degree [LL.B] in the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.TH.). Afterwards, he gained 2 Master’s degrees – one in International Public Law [LL.M], Law School A.U.TH., and one in Systematic Philosophy [MPhil], Philosophy School A.U.TH. – and is currently finishing his 3rd Master’s degree in Strategic Studies [MA], International & European Studies, University of Macedonia. He is also an alumnus of the Amsterdam Law & Technology Institute (VU Amsterdam) Summer School on AI & Space Law.
His mother tongue is Greek, he speaks English fluently, is intermediate in German and Russian, and speaks Chinese and French on a basic level. He is a Senior Editor and columnist in the Organization for International & European Affairs (ODETH), and has been a columnist in the online platform “Polls & Politics”.
He has participated in many national & international conferences on Law, History, Philosophy and Science, he was a member of the Organizing Committee for the 1st Youth Forum of Western Macedonia on the Transition to the Post-coal Era (Oct. 2022), has participated in MUNs in Greece and abroad, is an active member of the Armed Forces Reservists Club in Thessaloniki, and a member of the European Law Tech Association (ELTA).
His interests include reading, politics, history, philosophy, cinema and football, and he hopes to make a lot of acquaintances in this year’s ThessISMUN (his first as a board member) and provide his best efforts so that the conference is of top-level and a memorable experience for all participants!
