Smaragda Chandrinou
Vice-President of UN Security Council
Smaragda Chandrinou is a senior International and European Studies student at the University of Piraeus. She is conducting research at the Turkish and Eurasian Laboratory of the University of Piraeus on China’s foreign policy and has, also, held an internship at the Directorate for Sub-Saharan Countries of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Her affiliation with MUNs started in 2019, and has yet participated in numerous, both online and in-person, conferences. Currently, she serves as the Vice-President of the University of Piraeus MUN Society. In ThessISMUN 2022, she acted as the Ambassador of China to the UN and a delegate at the Security Council, receiving the Future Diplomat Award.
She is thrilled to return to Security Council as the Vice-President, and she firmly believes that this year’s topic area under discussion will offer a unique challenge to the participants!
