Linos-Alexander Sicilianos:  Judge at the European Court of Human Rights (since 2011); Member of the Curatorium of the Hague Academy of International Law; Associate Member of the Institute of International Law; Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration;Professor Dr., Faculty of Law, University of Athens.

Activities within the UN system: Member (2002-2009), Vice-chairman (2004-2006) and Rapporteur (2008-2009) of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination ; Member of the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent (2009-2011); Member of the Greek Delegation to the UN General Assembly (1996-2001) and the Commission of Human Rights (2005).

Activities within the Council of Europe: Member and former Chairman of the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe for the Improvement of Procedures for the Protection of Human Rights (1997-2010); independent expert, invited by the Council of Europe in a number of missions in Slovenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Ukraine, Albania and Azerbaijan (1995-2003).

Activities within the EU: Member of the Administrative Board (2007-2012) and the Executive Board (2009-2011) of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency; Member of the EU Network of Independent Experts in the field of Fundamental Rights (2002-2006).
