My name is Zoe Tsirakopoulou-Glinou and I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in Athens, where I currently am studying Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, while also pursuing a minor degree in International Business at the American College of Greece.
My MUN history dates back in 2013 when I was still in high school. Ever since I have had the opportunity to participate in various simulations of international, regional and European organizations both in Greece and abroad from all the different positions; delegate, head delegate and chair. During these six years I have managed to meet new people, make great friends, learn multiple things about the world and eventually evolve as a person.
For me, ThessISMUN holds a very special place in my heart, as it was my first university conference. Moreover, as a person with particular interest in the fields of International Law and International Business I must admit that the shipping industry has captured my attention. Thus, I now have the honor and pleasure to welcome you from the position of the Secretary General this time, to one of the most interesting committees of this conference, the International Maritime Organization.
Reaching my concluding remarks, I want to assure you that I always will be at your disposal during your preparation and of course during conference itself. I’ m looking forward to meeting you all, see you in Thessaloniki!
