Dear journalists,
My name is Evelina Kehayia and I was born and raised in Thessaloniki. I am in the second year of my studies in the Department of Journalism and Mass Media Communication in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At this year’s ThessISMUN, I have the honor and pleasure to welcome you from the position of the Editor-in-Chief.
My MUNs’ experience started as a journalist in 2017 and, since then, I have participated in several conferences and simulations as part of the press team membership (Students in Role Diploma, SimUnesCO, Rhetorical Art and Arguments). Furthermore, I had the role of the Editor-in-Chief in the Model of the Hellenic Parliament (2019). The previous year’s participation in ThessISMUN2018 was an unforgettable experience, full of both academic and pleasant moments and this is one of the reasons that I have decided to join in again.
Through my participation in such conferences, I had the chance to enhance my communicational skills and expand my knowledge on my field of studies. More importantly, I have managed to develop my personality and I have met like-minded and pleasant people. Due to these conferences, my passion for journalism grew bigger!
From the position of the Editor-in-Chief, I will propose new ideas that will help the journalists to cover the issues of their committees and I will have the possibility to contribute differently, based on my own experience so that the press team will properly work. Last but not least,I really want to assure you that this year’s “ThessISMUN Daily News” will publish mighty appealing and well-written articles.
Personally, I feel excited about my role in this year’s conference and I seek to bring out the best. I look forward to meeting passionate journalists with broadened horizons!

My name is Olympia Salayianni and, at this year’s ThessISMUN, I will have the honor to be the Deputy Editor-in-Chief. I study Journalism and Mass Media Communication at the Faculty of Economic and Political Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My Model United Nations’ experience began as a journalist last year and up to the present, I have participated in the ThessISMUN 2018 conference and in the Simulation of UNESCO Corfu 2018 conference. ThessISMUN is its people, people who create moments that will live forever in your memory.
I can say from experience that being a member of such conferences is a great opportunity to deal with your realm in practice as far as open your mind to new ways of thinking, make friends and have fun. And, I will do my best to prove it to you.
