UN Human Rights Council (HRC): Vice-President

Vagelis Vaiannis will serve as the Co-Chair of the Human Rights Council. He was born and raised in the beautiful island of Poros and currently is an undergraduate student in the faculty of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens. His first MUN experience dates back to high school which deeply influenced him and determined his engrossment in foreign affairs and academic simulations. He wholeheartedly believes that participating in such conferences is the touchstone of broadening one’s horizons and all-around understanding of international organizations. His academic interests include political analysis, political discourse, and international relations.

Apart from MUN simulations, he has completed an internship at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participates in the efforts of the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists and has discovered his passion for writing articles on both printed and online newspapers.

Along with his highly proficient colleagues, Clio and Kostantinos, he is resolute in his willingness to make this year’s conference an unforgettable experience for all delegates and spread our vision for Human Rights in this turbulent era.
