My name is Stavros-Christos Papakyriazis. I am 23 years old and I have a bachelor degree in International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus and I’m currently in my second undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. My main academic interests are focused on the fields of history, strategy, international relations and international law. In ThessISMUN 2019, I will have the honor to preside over the North Atlantic Organization, an alliance of major significance and importance for the tide of the modern international affairs. This will be my 13th ModelUN and my 5th participation as a Board member. London, Bucharest, Cyprus, Corfu and of course Thessaloniki, were some of the places where I’ve gathered my inherent experience for this particular type of simulations.

At this year’s NATO we will have to struggle with complex topics of special nature and with their respected crisis, come up with some innovative solutions and settlements or even not at all, and be certain that we will have fun from the first to the last minute of this conference. Since I have participated in the past as a delegate in NATO, this is the one thing I can promise you. Brace yourselves so as to make NATO great again, prepare for the upcoming experience, and get ready to test your limits, while we will make sure that you will gain some elements that will follow you for the rest of your life, regardless of the fact that you are a seasoned delegate or a newcomer. There is always something new to learn, and we should know since us, ourselves also learn plenty from you each time. Since spoilers are not in order, I’ll close with this: “Take what you can, give nothing back!”
