UN International Court of Justice (ICJ): Advocate

Hello everyone!

My name is Chrysoula Gkana and I am currently at the end of my studies in the faculty of Law in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My love for MUN conferences burst out in 2011, when I first participated in a simulation in The Netherlands. Ever since, I have been an MUN – addict, having participated in a plethora of simulations in English and in French, both as a delegate and as a chairperson.

As for my extra-curriculum activities, apart from MUN conferences, I am an active member of the “European Law Students’ Association (ELSA)” in Thessaloniki and I have served as the Head of Judges for 4 consecutive years in “Conseil des Jeunes Citoyens”, a French city council simulation in Thessaloniki. Additionally, my interests include many different activities, such as international law, diplomacy, politics, sports and music.

This year will be my fourth participation in ThessISMUN and it is the ultimate honor for me to be the Advocate in the most challenging committee of the conference, meaning of course the International Court of Justice. ThessISMUN was, is and will be my favorite conference, as it combines the highest academic level, a very interesting agenda and the opportunity to exchange knowledge with other delegates from all over Greece and abroad. Along with my two extremely talented colleagues, George and Despina, we are at your disposal should anything occurs. I assure you that this year’s version of ICJ will be memorable!
