UN General Assembly – 1st Committee: Chair

Dear all,

My name is Grealb Kristo, but most people know me as Albi. By the time you will be reading this bio, hopefully (because life is unpredictable) I will have already turned 22 years old and I will be almost concluding my 4rth year of studies in the faculty of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University of Social and Political Studies in Athens. The aforementioned is the city where I have been born, raised and spent, more or less, my entire life.

Recalling my first MUN experience (2014) during my high school years is quite awkward; myself as a delegate being hesitant about whether I should ask for the floor or not. Well, I finally did, but I was unaware back then that this would be only the beginning of my “journey” in the world of debating, international politics, diplomacy, crisis management, in other words the world of MUNs. Since then I have attended 8 simulation programs overall – neither a few nor a lot – the vast majority of them as a delegate. After all, let us be honest, MUNs are for delegates so I encourage you to make the most of it!

However, in ThessISMUN 2019 I will be serving as the Chair of the 1st Committee of the General Assembly a.k.a. DISEC, which I consider an honor and a challenge for me at the same time. There is no need to mention that both my Co Chair, Alexandros, and I are at your disposal for any inquiries you may have.

I am looking forward to meeting you in person!

Kindest of Regards,
Albi Kristo.
