Hello everyone!
My name is Despoina Chatzopoulou and this year I have the honour to serve as the President of the International Court of Justice. I am currently in the 4th year of my studies in the Democritus University of Thrace, Law School and this is my 4th year in ThessISMUN. I speak English and French fluently and my academic interests revolve around general as well as specialized sectors of international law. Over the years, I have participated in various model conferences in Greece and abroad both as a high school student and as a university student. I have also contributed to the works of Ypagogi student law journal and I am a member of the Krateros Ioannou Research Institute for International Law and International Relations as well as the European law Students Association. More recently, I was a member of the team that successfully represented the Democritus University of Thrace at the Telders Moot Court Competition 2018. I would, thus, like to welcome you to one of the most challenging and exciting committees of ThessISMUN, the International Court of Justice! See you in 2019!
