My name is Evangelia Mitropoulou, but I prefer people calling me Lia. I am an undergraduate law student in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have to confess that law is really tempting and charming, but diplomacy has been for the past 8 years the cornerstone of my interests.
Everything started when I was a second-year high school student and participated as a journalist in a Model United Nations conference. From then, I participated in over 30 simulations, as a delegate, a chair, and a member of the Secretariat, I completed my internship at the Greek Ministry for Foreign Affairs and served as a campus coordinator at UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. For the time being, I serve as an international affairs’ analyst, and the coordinator of the subgroup of “Law, Society and Culture” at Power Politics, the first Greek website on the analysis of international relations.
In this year’s ThessISMUN, I will have the great honor to serve as one of the Deputy Secretary Generals of the conference and I am more than happy to invite and welcome you in a simulation of great academic quality and organization!
