Erato Fessatidou, born and raised in Thessaloniki, is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Law. As a high school student, she entered the world of conferences with her participation in national and international sessions of the European Youth Parliament. Having realized her interest for international law combined with international relations, ThessISMUN 2017 became her starting point for consecutive simulations of ThessISMUN, RhodesMRC and BISMUN that followed.
Alongside her MUN experience, she serves as a member of the Organising Committee for a Panhellenic Model United Nations and a Panhellenic Debate Tournament both in Greek for high-school students. Even more, she has fulfilled an internship at the Directorate of the United Nations at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her extra-curriculum hobbies include volunteering as a debate coach for several high-schools in Thessaloniki, as well as in YMCA summer camp in Chalkidiki.
Having served four times as a Board Member both at ThessISMUN and RhodesMRC, and one as the Secretary General of RhodesMRC 2019 High School Edition, she now proudly holds the position of the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations. Her love for debate, brainstorming and networking will be her allies throughout this year’s conference, while she certainly holds major anticipation for the most dynamic week of the year, a week full of ThessISMUN adventures!
